Very Simple Video Question

I didn't exactly know if I should put this question in the "Hardware" section, but I guess since it is the "Multimedia" then it's okay. Anyway, I've got some .WMV files that are out of sync. Everything is fine at first, but at a certain point the video ends up like 3 seconds behind the audio. Is there anything I can do for this? I'm using Windows Media Player 7.1

Sometimes this occurs when video card doesn’t function properly. Update video card driver and DirectX to the latest version.
If you’re using default Codec such as AVI Decompressor, playback speed decreases due to format convert.
In such case, please install latest version of Codec. Have you tried updating to the new media player?

Wow, I guess I did put it in the correct section. Thanks, I'm about to check out "wmv sync problems" right now!!!

As for my codecs, I'm using the Nimo Codec Pack 5.0
