Could you post a couple of examples here so that we could try them out. Could be that they are inactive links or that you have scripting or something else that the site needs disabled.
Another possibility, depending on who your provider is, is that the site may be on a block list from your ISP, so that would menat nobody frome your ISP would be able to get to that site.

Thank-you guys for your reply
The sites are all Government of Canada sites, servers located in Monston N.B
The person in charge of the site here in Ottawa, tried with my own ISP, password etc, and did gain access. ?
Other links in that page do work for me, takes about 5 sec to open page
This is one of the site I can not access:
http://www2.psc-cfp.gc.ca/psc/sos/sos-jobs.htm
After 45 sec, "The page cannot be displayed"
Noe, let see...

Hi, Keyes.
Just tried the link you posted. Download OK here in UK, BUT- the total size of the page is about 56k, including all the graphics etc. If the server was loaded heavily, the download could well have "timed out" before you got it downloaded. Apart from that I dunno (drools)!

tried it from India. worked fine.
Clear History and Temp Internet Files in IE by tools > optioms ...
In Netscape, do so by Edit > Preferences > Advanced > Cache ...
... and then try.
