game counter strike
When i use the open gl and go to console to connect to a game, the screen shows up in a small box in the left hand top corner. my resolution is at 1152 X 864. Now i tried the Direct 3D and it works the whole screen shows up but when i press esc the screen turns black and i need to press ctrl alt and delete to get back to my desktop. is there a fix for this problem do i need to change a setting or is it a video card bug? is there a setting i need to change on my video card? does anyone have the same problem? does anyone have the radeon 9700 and this doesn't have the problem. please help.

This thread should probably go in the hardware troubleshooting section, 'cause your vid card has been the only change to your system lately, right?

As far as I know, ATI's drivers for the Radeon 9xxx series are rock solid. That said, what was your previous graphics card? Was it NVidia or Matrox? Are you sure you removed everything? Did you try a reinstall of DirectX after the upgrade?

Hmmm... You should repost this one in the multimedia troubleshooting section, including all the details of your system. I'm at a loss, but I'm not very good at troubleshooting anyway :p.
