Hello peeps. I have an HP511W computer. We just recently put another 128 mb ram to a total of 256. Since hewlett packards can allocate up to 11mb of memory i'd like to do that just to see what kinda performance that would have on my couple of games. now i went to the site and it gave me directions how to get into bios and change the desired amount, but when i go to change it, the bios only gives me 2 options. 512k or 1mb of video memory. when i right click in properties in windows it says that my adapter is set at 4mb. now how come i don't have an option to set it to 11mb? yes it recognizes the ram too. i'd appreciate any imput thanks

Because the onboard video that is used uses "dynamic" allocation...meaning that you can set the base amount in BIOS (which should be 1MB) and the OS will assign (by way of the drivers) more as needed, upto the 11MB according to demand.
