View Full Version : Help with JVC GR-DVL 805 Digital Camera

Nice camera it seems but just will not work with this computer.I don't
have any particular driver software but do have the various software
components that manipulate the photos and stuff but its response can not
find camera or no connect. Using Win XP home and JVC's website shows no
XP driver for this thing.This is a serial port camera. Any other suggestions or is any one familiar with this beast?

Is the serial port active, does it show up in device manager?
Is there any other conection other than baseband composite video or a Y/C connector? No IEE1344 conection?

VideoBruce:Thanks for the response.This machine had a serial port slot
on the back of the machine that had been hooked up backwards.Someone did not keep the red side to pin one.Re connected and instant download from camera.Although I still dont see how the camera works without a driver?
