is there a way to hook up lets say three different monitors. there is a program we are installing in our office that monitors plant performance. one card with the software...if we were to put that on central pc and monitor it out to 3 different people so they can all watch what is going on.. does is depend on the video card in the pc or do you need some sort of video hub/router...???????
Some video cards are capable of putting out a signal to one monitor, other cards have dual display capability, and some newer cards(like the Matrox Parhelia) can support 3 monitors.
Best to check your current card's specs. If it supports only one monitor, then you'll have to install a dual display card. If it has dual display, then install another card with single display capability.
Or check out the triple display cards. But beware, they're expen$ive.

ski pretty much covered the multiple video card solution, but another alternative is a video/vga splitter...this is pretty simple, you plug it into the video card, then plug the monitors into its multiple ports.
This may even be a better route for you since it will give you the same diplay on all the monitors. Most of the multiple output cards simply extend your desktop, so that each display would have something different.
