Boot Problem

I've got a pentium 2 266 and everytime i turn it on all I get are these long loud beeps and it won't boot up. How do I tell if the ram or motherboard are stuffed.

Usually when you here beeping its the video card. Try a different video card or make sure its seated properly. If that doesnt work put the RAM in a different spot in other words a differnt bank. If that doesnt work try differnt processer if you have the luxury. Try putting video card in different PCI slot if its a Pci video card. Hope that helps. If none works could be bad processer or motherboard or video card. The only way I know how to tell if any thing is bad is to try differnt combinations.
