Hi, need some advice.
The machine Iīm working on is an Intel Celeron 333Mhz, with 32Mb RAM (Motherboard brand: UNKNOWN, chipset PC100 BXpert). It was working normaly (couple of freezes now and then) ītill a week ago. No changes of hardware or software configuration have been made, but suddenly the system wont boot.

With the case open, you can see that the cpu fan start spinning and inmediately stops. The HDīs keep working (you can hear them), but nothing appears on the screen, and the monitorīs LED blink in stand by. The strange thing is that if you press and hold the reset switch, the CPU fan start spinning and keep doing it until you release the button, but the system wont start neither.

Iīve changed the Power Source and the situation have not changed. Iīve tried with the "bare bones system" test, but itīs the same. Iīve even killed two chikens, and nothing worked!

Any ideas, suggestions or anithing?

Please, need to solve this thing ASAP!!!

Thanks

Actually, all PC repair requires that three chickens be killed and immediately roasted over a fire. :D

But seriously, sounds like the power supply to me.

If the power supply has been changed and checked and it does the same thing then It could be a motherboard. If the motherboard doesn't read the correct voltage it won't boot. It could believe it or not, be a bad ram stick. This will also cause the system to not boot. Do some swapping around and see what happens. But the power supply would have been my first guess also.
