Hi!
I was wondering if anybody can help me with something.
I have just rebuilt a computer and cannot get it to boot up. All components come on when I turn on the computer. I know that I have set all of the jumpers properly. Help!
I am using an Amptron TX3 motherboard (model PM-9100) w/ Pentium MMX 166Mhz processor, 32mb RAM, onboard video, etc.

A more detailed description of the problem would help a lot.

Do you get a picture at all? Any beep codes? (One beep is normal, more than one is not.) Any error messages onscreen? How far in the boot process does it get?

Welcome, alex! http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif Did the system work before you rebuilt it? What did you change, add, or take out?
If you don't have the manual, you can get one if you click here (http://www.amptron.com/), then after you get to Amptron's site,
click Support, and then click Manuals.

Make sure you put everything together right. Look through the steps here (http://www.pcguide.com/proc/pcassy/index.htm) to double check.

Then if you still have trouble, go here (http://www.pcguide.com/ts/index.htm) for some ways to help solve the problem.

Good Luck! http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif

Here's what I get:
When I turn on the computer, the power and hard drive lights come on, the hard drive runs, and that's about it. I get no beeps, no video, no anything.
I have the latest manuals from Amptron and have followed to the letter all instructions from available online resources on troubleshooting computers.

I forgot!
This is what I have in the computer so far:
* Amptron PM-9100 motherboard with AmiBIOS chip
* Pentium 166 w/MMX processor
* 1 32-mb DIMM
* 1gb Hard Drive
* 24x CdRom
* Creative Ensoniq sound card
* Onboard video
* 56K ISA modem
* Parallel and serial ports
This system was working before.

The system was working before.

What did you change, add or remove when you rebuilt it?

I changed pretty much everything except the processor and the DIMM memory module.

Amptron's site shows PM-9100A, B, C, and D. Can this be the problem?

Have you clicked on the links we gave you above, and worked through the troubleshooting steps?

Pull out the Sound Card and try to boot....you probably have a conflict between it and the vid card. Make double sure you have the video card "enabled" by bios or jumper on the mainboard & double check to make sure the video cable is "plugged" in the right way [ie pin #1 is matched to pin 1 on mobo and not off by a pin or anything].
