I got this message whenever I tried to export as a Quicktime Movie in Flash MX.

"The installed version of Quicktime does not have a handler for this for this type of Macromedia Flash Movie. Please consult the documentation for further information."

Anyone has any idea what's wrong?

I'm running on Windows 2000, and using Quicktime 6 Pro.

Did you happen to install the extras?

In other words a full install (not the express or typical)?

Does Flash MX have that options to choose? I don't remember seeing that, by default the only choice you got is the installation path. The rest is automatic, so I will assume it's a full install.

Not Flash but Quicktime....Internet Extras is one of the options to install with QT, it sounds like you don't have the proper codecs installed, or QT isn't setup to do Flash. For the first, goto the QT preferences and then update, then update and install additional software, if the Flash plugi(what it would be called for most other players) is available you will be able to install it. Or check the file types.....

Also the two versions just may not be compatable..as in there may not be a converter available.
