Does anyone have any idea where i can find this driver. It seems to be obsolete and SiS dont have a copy on their website. Ive tried many sites without any luck. Im stuck in 16 colours and 640x480.

Come on, if that doesnt work then it'll cost me 5 Euros. is there a free 1? I know im being picky but think about it from my point of view.

Try here (http://www.sis.com/support/driver/5598.htm). Google search for "SiS", plus a bit of surfing. Hope you have one of the supported OS's. WinXP is not listed as a separate driver, but I guess that wasn't out when they quit writing drivers. Version 1.13 - "Mature & Final Version"! :eek:

I think you need the latest version of “SIS597.drv”.

If Windows 98
Go to
“Control Panel > System > Device Manager > Display Adapters > SIS5597 > Properties > Driver > Driver File > Driver File Details > Driver Files”.
Look for
“C:\Windows\System\SIS597.drv”.

If this is listed then it is indeed the driver file you require.
