Hi,
I'm using win 98 (2nd edition) and have a 56k External USB Starweb Modem. When I copy files 10 megabytes or over from one directory to another on my hard drive I get disconnected from the internet. This also happens when unzipping large zip files and installing software which decompressess. Can someone please help me as my phone bill costs 25 cents each call and I have to connect up to 5 or 6 times per day. $1.50 per day * 7 = $10.50 per week just for disconnection. I would be very very grateful is someone could find or provide a fixing solution for this error. Thankyou.
