UNIX Airways
Everyone brings one piece of the plane along when they come to the airport.
They all go out on the runway and put the plane together piece by piece,
arguing non-stop about what kind of plane they are supposed to be building.

Air DOS
Everybody pushes the airplane until it glides, then they jump on and let
the plane coast until it hits the ground again. Then they push again, jump
on again, and so on ...

Mac Airlines
All the stewards, captains, baggage handlers, and ticket agents look and
act exactly the same. Every time you ask questions about details, you are
gently but firmly told that you don't need to know, don't want to know,
and everything will be done for you without your ever having to know, so
just shut up.

Windows Air
The terminal is pretty and colorful, with friendly stewards, easy baggage
check and boarding, and a smooth take-off. After about 10 minutes in the
air, the plane explodes with no warning whatsoever.

Windows NT Air
Just like Windows Air, but costs more, uses much bigger planes and takes
out all the other aircraft within a 40-mile radius when it explodes.

Linux Air
Disgruntled employees of all the other OS airlines decide to start their
own airline. They build the planes, ticket counters, and pave the runways
themselves. They charge a small fee to cover the cost of printing the
ticket, but you can also download and print the ticket yourself.
When you board the plane, you are given a seat, four bolts, a wrench
and a copy of the seat-HOWTO.html.
Once settled, the fully adjustable seat is very comfortable,
the plane leaves and arrives on time without a single problem,
the in-flight meal is wonderful.
You try to tell customers of the other airlines about the great trip,
but all they can say is,
"You had to do what with the seat?"

Wow! Now that you mention it, you're right. That concept flew right by me!
It's plane to see I may be loosing my touch...(Again). Hope it's not terminal.

Sometimes, I can allow my mind to runway beyond it's normal capabilities...Other times? Nothing more than empty baggage. It is during those times my smart alec college son refers to me as "airhead".

Before I go into a tailspin here, thankfuelly, I have to take-off today.

Have a pleasant flight friends....And please notice the captain has turned on the no smoking light!
And pray there are no delays due to the all too common "computer glitch". ;)

Yeah, that's the ticket! I was going to counter with something simulator but it was nothing special, pretty plane actually. Heading up to the cabin this weekend though. Just going to get in the car, go to the lake.

Gonna turn on the TV, relax, and take in a new series pilot. I think it's ETA Phone Home or something like that. It's supposed to be a comedy about hyper alien who got caught leaving on a jet plane after he'd bugged Air Force One. First episode has to do with the initial investigation...they've named it Departure Gate.

I'll have to check in with you later and let you know if the series is going to fly or not. In the meantime I've got to head out to the garage. I stowed a few extra seat cushions in the rafters, overhead, been meaning to take them along up to the lake. Lake patrol wants you to have one for every person on board or they'll give you a ticket.

Seems like the patrol has been on a rampage lately, screening everybody. I don't care for that kind of rampant behavior. Oh man, I'm late...gotta take off.

Amost took off without remembering to bring my suit case I go out somewhere special. Wedding this weekend I'm supposed to attend. Aunt says she'll embarass me and pinch my cheeks if I'm not there. Can't wait to see the "Old Bag!" Yeah right! More like I'd like to see the Old Bag nose dive off a cliff.....
