BIOS Error??

I just finished building a workstation:

Motherboard: ASUS A7N266
CPU: AMD 1800
Memory: 512MB Crucial
PSU: Allied 400W

When I start the system I get this message after detecting drives, none are connected yet.

Message Confirmation

The system intruded, chassis opened or tempered before.

It always hangs here even if I reset BIOS. Any suggestions would be appreciated..

There should be a line in your BIOS that enables intrusion detection.....probably in the area dealing with passwords and other security measures. Disable this setting, as it seems you do not have a sensor hooked up to it, and most likely don't want one.

Also, you may want to change the "Halt on errors" line to something other than "All"...

On your Mother Board you should find a set of pins to connect an Intruder switch to.
You may have a connector on those pins that belong else where..

Double check all your connection and check for a short on , under and or around the M/B

Thank You mjc & Rick, it was a bad jumper on the motherboard. Replaced and everything is fine.
