Computer Specificatons

Hi,

I'm a computer engineer, and supposed to write PC spec. It' always written in general,but not details.
I need to know exactly how to write specifications for a PC and how to know the best Manufacturer of every peice for example,
mother board spec. and best company in order to ba able to decide which computer company offer the lowest price for the same detailed spec.

and I need some advise about how to check on PCs when I buy then to see if they are really what I ordered ,
Plese this is very important,
I have some information but I don't know if I'm in the right direction.

Generally the system specs are written in the following order.

The focus is primarily on the CPU and then it moves on to the peripherals. All the components are listed with manufacturer's name at the beginning(say Intel Pentium III 450 Mhz Processor). The most suitable order to list the specs of a system is:

Processor
Motherboard with Chipset and form factor
RAM
Display adapter (not necessary for onboard display adapters)
Sound card (not necessary for onboard integrated sound cards)
Any other add-on cards that are present on the motherboard.
Hard disk drive
Floppy drive
Optical drives in sequence

The peripherals attached to the CPU in any sequence.

Also to find if the correct components are present on your system as ordred by you, a good benchmark tool can be used to determine the exact component present on the system. Or if you are good at tweaking the CPU you can open up the CPU and check for the installed components. They will hold some reference to the manufacturer and the details of the component.

Sure I know what is supposed to be looked for in a PC, but what I meant is the tredns in every component, for example, in hard drive(areal density, spindle speed, raid, capacity, performance..), and in moher boards(chipset which I think is the most important).
But i already found verr much of what i need on this site.
