does it take more time to scandisk a fragmented drive ?
Well let's see......
Fragmented drives will have the data scattered everywhere......so depending on what you have scandisk set to check.....maybe. :D
(yeah, I know real helpful, ...but, I never really bothered to check!)
Seriously, I would think that it would make a noticeable difference if the drive were badly fragmented, especially if you have any of the advanced options like checking for bad dates/times checked.......but I wouldn't think a drive in the less than 10% fragmented range would be all that noticeable.......and of course a surface test (or thorough) will take significantly longer.
