I was playing with System Commander the other day and during installation it warned me that I may have a virus because my conventional memory was at 634K.

A note about certain BIOS's "borrowing conventional RAM", like the Promise disk controller, said the card used 3k. I should have 637, instead of 634. Anyone ever check this out?

The Promise controllers do indeed use 6k of conventional memory. However if you have no drives attached, the card will not load it's BIOS even though it displays itself at boot.
