A friend of mine gets this while visitng her favorite message boards "required resource is missing". The graphcis and stuff on the pages are all meshed together and mixed up. That is the only error message she gets, does anyone know what it means?

This is exaclty what she said in her own words,

"Just wondering if any of you puter peeps can help me w/ my "googlie" screen prob. What happens is, for seemingly no reason, the screen goes all haywire, googlie if you will, the graphics sort of break up and mesh together and it will spill over into all the windows and occasionally AIM. Sometimes it'll freeze the whole puter up. Drives me nuts!!! Does anyone know what this prob is and how to fix it? Happens several times a day.... The only error msg I get is "required resource is missing". Any help greatly appreciated!!!!!"

Since you said your "googlie" (I like that word http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif) screen ran it's stuff over into AIM, I'll assume you were connected to the internet? It's really hard to tell what's wrong. Can you supply any more info? What other programs were open? What OS were you using? Have you recently installed new hardware? My guess is hardware or software version conflicts since this thing obviously didn't happen at one point in time, and since you get an error about missing resources.

Assuming you use Windows, I searched the Microsoft Knowledge Base for the error that you were talking about...but I didn't have much luck. Maybe since you know what programs you were using and when the error came up, etc. you would have better luck at the site. Sorry, that's about all I can do for ya.

Probably a good idea to scan for a virus. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/frown.gif

What versions of Windows and Internet Explorer?
