I have a PIII 600 but recently it has been detecting it as a 400, i've tried going to the CMOS and manually changing the speed and saving it but, after it saves and restarts, it still recognizes it as a 400. After the second consecutive time of manually changing it, when it restarts the power seem to be on and i hear the fan, but nothing happens. Only until I actually turn off the switch from the power supply off and then off will it boot but still at the wrong processor speed. Why is this happening? What can i do?

People will need more info to help you on this one...
What motherboard/bios revision are you using?

Welcome, congero! http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
Just as a starting point:
600MHz CPU @ 100MHz FSB = 400MHz CPU @ 66MHz FSB
Have you done anything inside the case lately? Changed a jumper setting?
Did you make any BIOS setup changes, maybe just inadvertently?

I have a ABIT v60 motherboard
with two 128 DIMM RAM
As far as any changes, i recently bought a 3dfx Voodoo TV 100 PCI card, actually the problem started after i installed the card, but i tried taking it out and changing the bios but nothing.
