View Full Version : no boot with new memory
I have installed a new 64 meg dimm in a 200mhz motherboard. It had 2 16 meg edo simms which were replaced with the the single 64 meg dimm. Now the computer won't boot at all. I don't know the motherboard's manufacturer, but it has a intel chipset.

Welcome, kr! http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
You need more info on the motherboard. There may be a jumper or BIOS setting to change.
You may have to take out the DIMM, put the EDO back in, start up and get your 'BIOS ID string'.
Click here (http://www.ping.be/bios/index.html) and read the FAQ to find out how to do it.
