I can't figure this out. I use YAHOO often (email accounts, yahoo groups, etc.) and I'm having problems accessing it now. Every couple of days (or more often), when I try to log into either my email or a yahoo group (or yahoo auctions for that matter), when ever I type in my name and password I get the dreaded "The page cannot be displayed. The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings" screen. The only way to get back onto yahoo is to check my hard-drive for errors (I'm on WindowsXP) and somehow that fixes it. I did that earlier today and that fixed the problem for about an hour, now I need to do the long disk check again. Argh! Anybody have any idea why my computer hates yahoo? I don't have this problem with other web pages... just yahoo. Interestingly, my ePrompter email program IS able to access Yahoo mail even though I can't. I think I'm being long winded, hope I've explained myself well. Please, in the name of God, help!

personally, I think yahoo hates everyone :)
Did you try checking for viruses? Might help
Dump your cookies, empty the TIF (temporary internet files), etc......

I constantly have this problem with hotmail. I've looked at all the settings and deleted every temp file and cookie!!! Very annoying!

Try repairing Internet Explorer, if not upgrade it or reinstall it. Yahoo normally does not have that many problems, your timeout settings maybe messed up in IE - not much you can do for that. Have you got Java, Multimedia, Active X etc disabled?, Yahoo does use some of this, but still you should be able to access the site. Hmm.....
You could always check their help knowledge base: http://help.yahoo.com/
Hope this helps (lol) ;)

Well I know I'm jinxing myself, but since I posted this thread I've checked my hard-drive for errors (again) and all is well. I've been a yahoo freak, jumping in and out of multiple yahoo id's like a friggin madman. So far so good. Thanks for the response, the next time Yahoo f's me, I'll take your advice. :)
