Greetings, I was having frequent Fatal Exception Error problems (nearly all VxD related) & Illegal operation messages, accompanied w/ a very occasional funny sound coming from my box that was similar to the sound of a dying hard drive I had in the past. I attempted to re-install windows 98, & it took 7 tries before I was able to install far enough to function. I installed a new hard drive, & am having the same install problems I can't get an install w/out error messages & crashes during install. Now I get more F.E. errors then before & the boot up frequently hangs on the initial Win 98 'Cloud' screen, it will do this hang up 3 or 4 times in a row before it will finally boot up. Are these different issues? or symptoms of the same? or purhaps did I just get a bum HD, or worse...am I looking at a dying mobo/cpu? Thanks much for any & all assistance
