notebook battery

Hi:

I have a refurbished Toshiba 480CDT Notebook. The battery is likely going as it doesnt last long at all.

My question is: can I just continue to plug in and use (without problems) or will it stop working completely when the battery goes completely?

You should be able to run without the battery as long as it is plugged into and outlet. The battery is only relevant when it has no outside power. You can probably find a replacement battery however.
