A little more info would help. Are you going to reformat and install 98se?
What kind of computer is this? Processor, hard drive etc.?

Looks to me like you're posting alright. The more info the better. ;)
If you have the 98se disk you can backup the things that you find important, reformat the hard drive and reinstall win98se.
If you're unfarmiliar with the process you can read through THIS (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;221829) link or maybe THIS (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;en-us;q188881) one.
If you need help or info, you know where to ask...;)

If you want to try just going back to Win98 then seeHow to uninstall Windows Millenium (http://www.windowsreinstall.com/install/uninstall/winme.htm). Having done that, if Win98 doesn't work the way you want, you may still want to do a Clean install of Win 98 as Steve suggested.
In other words, back up first be fore you do anything........
