Delta Force multiplayer

Me and my son are trying to play Delta Force together. I set up the network (the first time for me) host is win2k and we try to log on to the game with the w98 machine. They see each other but when I try to log on I get an error saying that it can't create character or the server is full. It could be that I have the network set up wrong being it's my first time at networking. I just don't know were to begin getting this problem solved.

Are both computers using different game installation discs? Two people using the same disc with the same key code cannot play online together.

Probably thought of this, just thought I would make sure.

Nope I didn't think of it. One computer uses the game disk (host) and the logon computer doesn't use a disk at all but its an install form the same disk. You can play multiplayer with out a disk just can't host a game. Maybe that is the problem though I don't know this is the first time I did this.

It was the key code it wasn't something I did (that may be a first).
