Whenever I click on a link that opens a page in a new window(as a pop-up) the new page always appears in a reduced size. Despite my efforts I cannot get it to stay that way. Any ideas?

Hi. No one else has replied so here goes.

True popups are not resizable.

If the link has an instruction to open in a new window, or your browser is so configured or you choose "open in a new window" from a RClick menu then a normal new window should be opened - unless the hyperlink is configured specifically otherwise.

If the borders of the new window are resizable, then resize to the size you want and then go to the file menu, hold down the shift key, and click on Close.

This was the way to do things before XP and IE6 arrived on the scene - and I think it still should work.

If you hold down the shift key, while clicking on any link, it too should always open a new window.

Thanks again Paul. A neat little tip - Shift & Close. Yes those particular links were configured to open in a new browser window. At first they wouldn't open up at all, until I realised that the excellent program 'PopUp Stopper' was to blame. When the links did open, they
came up about a third of the screen size. For now, at least, everything's OK, but I know what to do if it starts doing it again.

Usually if you simply close a secondary window the size you want it, any future secondary windows will be that size and location. I have to reset mine constantly on my Windows machine because I use a dual monitor system, I'm always forgetting and moving it back to the main window then closing it, after that it will open there at the same size it was last time...no Shift key or anything needed...just a flaky memory... :D That's with IE 5, I'm not sure how IE 6 would act...
