How to Enable the Auto Disconnect Feature in Internet Explorer (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;153965)

Post back if that doesn't do the trick. ;)

hi, checked the autodisconnect and we had it checked to disconnect when service is no longer needed. i do not see any reason why it should not be working. i may have to use the restore feature on me. if there is anyone that knows what i can do to restore it i would appreciate the info. thanks paul for the reply.

hi all, i found the fix with the problem of the auto-disconnect box not showing up anymore. i downloaded the weather bug program 2 days ago and ever since then i never got the auto-disconnect box to show up. anyway i went tonight into msconfig under start up and unchecked it, restarted computer and that was all it took to fix it. thanks to all who responded. lucias you may want to try this on your computer and see if you may have downloaded something that interfers with the auto-disconnect feature. thanks again fellas. Ummm...weatherbug has been implicated as being spyware. Even if it it isn't it wants to maintain a constant connection to the servers, which in a way means that your connection will never be "not needed". So that means no auto-disconnect. Any software that provides for a background download (even Noton's liveupdate) has the potential for disabling the auto-disconnect feature.

M1976 glad to hear you have got yours working. I haven't downloada or installed anything lately that would have this effect(I din't think) Just spybot, trojan Hunter and sp2 for explorer5.5 I onley have 5 things checked in startup.
1.Keyboard Manager
2.systray
3.wcmdmgr
4.fixitav(part of my anti-virus)
5.System Suite
But am still looking for something I have done to cause this.
