:confused: When I open My Docs on the desk top, then go to open another folder, the error message;- Explorer has caused an error in SHELL32.DLL Explorer will now close. The screen then closes and sometimes comes up in the safe mode. Can anybody tell me how to correct this?

what o/s?
it appears that some ME users have had this prob & cured it with scanreg /restore.

You type it in at a dos prompt ie:


boot to dos. at the C:\ prompt Type

windows\command\scanreg /restore and press the Enter key.
The Microsoft Registry Checker screen appears.
Select a date using the Up Arrow or Down Arrow keys and then press the Enter key.
