Oh boy, am I in trouble! Did something really stupid last night.

I like to keep my password changing so that no one can get into my computer, but obviously that worked a little too well! Changed password, then proceeded to play 3+ hours of Medal of Honor and GTAIII before I went to bed. I think that says it all! :D

Running WinXP Pro, I have the administrator profile, the only other one is "Guest". :( Is it toasted or is there a way to get in?

Gonna go do a Google search now, but I thought I'd lay one down here on the forums just in case. I don't want to be locked out for too long...

If you forgot your administrator password, I believe you are out of luck and looking at fresh install. However, if you only lost the user password, I think you can change that as Administrator. I just started using XP so I am not sure how, but I believe I read that you can.

If you cannot get it by the other suggestion you can do it this way but read very carfully
http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/bootdisk.html

if non of these work out and this is the administrator account not user I would hate to say you may end up doing a reinstall

Ok, thanx all. I'll try these suggestions out this weekend. Still hoping it will come to me...

Try overriding the password from that Linux Boot Diskette. YODA74 has already given you the link. I'm not sure if it works for XP. There are several other techniques to recover the password but are brain squeezing so I don't wanna mention them.
