Hello,
I am attempting to install Solaris 8 on intel.
I have the installation CD burned and it autoboots.
The associted program runs and copies files to the hard drive.
Once the files are copies a message comes up that states the computer will need to reboot to continue the installation.
At this point the system hangs up and I get the following error message:
fdisk: Cannot start device /dev/rdsk/c0d0
unable to mount /dev/dsk/c0d0pd:
The installation CD is using Solaris Web Start 3.0 to install.
Any ideas why the sytem hangs at this point?
Could it potentially be a partitioning problem?
Could it be that I did not set the hard drive as the default boot device during installation?
Any help would be appreciated.
