After installing NT using NTFS and removing it I see only 1 gig of HD using FDISK. I can't even format this 1gig partition to load 98. Someone recommended using win2000 boot disk to recover the space. Haven't tried yet, but is there another way

You've removed the Win NT, but have you removed the NTFS partition.

If not use FDISK to remove all partitions including the NON-DOS partition (NTFS).

Restart to let changes take effect.

Then recreate your partition.

ensure you have made your first partition Active.

Restart

Then Format

"Ensure you use a Win 98 / ME startup disk and not FDISK of a DOS disk."

(What size partition was you able to see with in Windows NT)

Hope this Helps.
