broadband connection

I am thinking of having a broadband connection installed. According to the information i have read from telewest, i need a network interface card installed to be able to connect. I already have a built in Ethernet Lan 10baseT/100BaseTX. Is this the same as a nic and can i use it instead of paying the extra for a nic card.

Yes, you can use it for your broadband connection. It's just a built-in NIC.
