I have used AVG for a few months now. I notice that several update files have accumulated on my HD. Is there any reason that they cannot be deleted after the update is complete?

Hmmm.......I never noticed before, but yeah you are right.

I guess that you can get rid all but the most recent one or two, just don't delete them, move them to someplace else and if everything works fine then after a few days you can go ahead and delete them.

Hi All,

Would these files end in .BIN
Because I've got 35+ meg on my drive.
In the update folder.

KFH- Thanks for the FAQ reference. I'll know where to look the next time.

Anyone- Unless you forced the files into another folder, they should be in \Program Files\Grisoft\AVG6\UPDATE\ and they are the .bin files. According to the FAQ (see above message) all .bin files but the latest can be deleted. DO NOT DELETE the .ctf file.
