I hate to be the one to bad mouth a site I have enjoyed in the past
But While I was away from home this week.
The Wife and kids visited this site..

After checking the log and history files on their system
I found not 1 But 3 spyware program.
All installed as it appears By one Active X and setup program from a file called RichBlack setup.exe

All it is listed on the site as is a simple cartoon.
A Long cartoon (about 2 Min.) According to my daughter

Among the B.S. it installed is Igetnet, Save!,Winstart.exe and Ebargains
All this from one innocent click on a cartoon.
All installed without permission while the cartoon ran.

BTW TwistedHumor is supposed to be going offline soon..

Hi Rick,

I have looked at just about every post this past week. Including YODAs long cartoon. I just ran ad-aware and ran a search on each file name you mentioned. Nada. No reference to anything.

Am I just not looking in the right place? Are you sure they came from this site?

hmm I know for a fact it didn't come from what i posted.I always run spyware and virus checks on just about anything i post. do you kow which post that they may have gotten this from?

if you go to twisted humor site

Twistedhumor.com's Final Cartoon. Watch our most controversial and talked about cartoon for the last time.

Click Here to Watch Now:do not but this is the extention they have to the link just put the rest of the addy on the front I left it off for a reason
twistedhumor.com/RichBlackSetup.exe

it pretty much tells you right there that it is an exacutable file that in it's self should raise a red flag...before clicking on it.

I just noticed in my first post the site name is missing in the message.
and is only in the message title.
my mistake.
Too many hours and not much sleep is at fault.
Sorry about the mix up.

Yoda the wife and or kids didin't notice the Exe at the end of the link.

No prizes for geusing who else fell for it! My own stupidity. Run spybot aafter readin the posts here, then did search of registry and found couple of folder s left in program files. There was no un-install in add remove as in the programs stated
