"glide not found"&"intD 3D fails"

I installed Talonsoft Codename Eagle game on my pc. The install went ok and the game goes through the intro well. When I click to start game an error pops up saying "glide not found". or "intD 3D fails". What is wrong? As you can tell, I know very little about these things. How do I fix this?? Thanks guys.I am running Windows 98 Second Edition.HELP!

Can you access the game's config options?

If so try setting it to use DirectX instead of glide or openGL.

The only choices in the config of the game were 1- Direct 3D, chosing it would prompt the error "initD 3D fails". and 2- "3D fx" which prompt the "glide not found" error. I tested all the Direct X functions and all are working. stumped!
