disk boot failure. insert system disk and press enter!
What the heck does this mean?

Hello BamBam,
That means that whatever disk you are trying to boot from (either a floppy or the Hard Drive) the disk cannot be read, or is not a valid boot disk.....could be many many posible reasons why this is........

What I meant by what I said is hopefully less confusing then the contemplation of the question that led to the confusion in the 1st place.......

Check whether you have a floppy disk in the drive when turning the computer on... if not you are in for some fun.
It comes from way back when PCs used to boot off floppy disks - old habits die hard, eh? Basically it means that BIOS or POST can't find what it needs to start up (Command.com, msdos.sys etc...) if having problems post reply back, will try to help...
