What is Net Meeting?

Hi Everyone: I wanted to find out what eactly is Net Meeting and what is it used for?

Exactly what it says....meetings on the net!!! You can use a web cam and talk to other poeple via and ILS server in almost real time.. Watch out though there are some dodgy prople out there. A good place to start looking for a good server to go through is http://www.netmeetinghq.com/.. have fun!!??

It can be fun, and it's free (except for the equipment, of course) but be prepared for the following:

If you use a netcam and don't have a fast connection, don't have expectations of Star Trek quality video...

Even with a fast connection the picture is small and it can be very choppy...

Plus, there's a delay for sound and video, so it's not exactly like talking on the phone...
