i have a pal that run xp with IE6, but the address bar for all the , for instant(www.adc.com) is not there, so it make it hard to enter a site name to surf, and wonder why it so hard to get back, i use win 98se and it easy to remove and get back, but his xp well for some reason just can not do it
we check under view and the address bar is check but no bar, ther is a small address button on right side, but we can not move or do anything with it

also for me it i want to reinstall IE6 i just go to add remove fine IE6 and remove and it give me 2 to 3 way to reinstall or fix, not so with XP, in add and remove ther is no IE6 listed, so how can you reinstall

we check he has not install the sp1 pack for XP yet, nor a few other update, and his norton anti virus quit on he, we uninstall it reinstall it but it fail to find the any update for it, noe does it tell him where it expire

i think i keep my window 98se, window xp seem to be trash

first did you right click up at where the address bar should be and check address bar??

To repair IE you'll have to run the Sfc /scannow command which will scan and restore protected system files (which IE is).
Click Start, and then click Run.
In the Open box, type sfc /scannow, and then click OK. Note that you may be prompted to insert the Windows XP installation CD-ROM.

if that doen't work go here and do the second step
