I have a folder containing 10 files.One is very big and would like to zip it so I can send it over the internet.Would you know of a free program that would do just that.Thanks

WinZip is good, but for the same price you can get WinRar. Can do much more, Rar and Ace files to name a few. You can try the evaluation version here also.

I use PowerDesk which does a lot more that simply zip files, it is a much better file manager that Windows Explorer. You can download a trial version which I think has no time limit here:

Vix970,Malcore,Budfred- thanks to you all.
I think I'll use Power desk because it is so simple to use.
However in my case I won't help because my file of 10,203 kb compressed to
8,169KB is still to big.I am only allowed 5Mb.That the size of an e-mail I can send.So I guess i'll have to forget about it.

split it first, & send it in chunks.?
