Hello again, does anyone have any sugestions how I had two sticks of DDR 2100 RAM go bad at the same time? I d-loaded the Mem test86 and I got some very strange results. First I tested my system with both of the 256 meg sticks in and I had over 4,000 errors. Next I tested my ram one stick at a time. On the first test I got 42 errors and on the other stick of ram I tested I had 93 errors, but I only got the errors when the RAM got warm, but the temp inside my case is not that hot. I guess my question is could my system had a single event that hurt the RAM and made it very sensitive to heat?

Did you mention what brand of RAM you have? Interesting, that you identified the problem being related to the RAM getting warm.
Heat is one of the arch enemies of electronic components! :(
I'll see if I can find the link to the differences is RAM...

You might want to test the RAM in another motherboard if you have access to a compatible one. I would wonder if the problem is the RAM slots or BIOS of the motherboard rather than the RAM itself. RAM can burn out if it gets too hot, but warm is not too hot. Too hot would be enough to leave a nasty burn on your hand if you tried to touch it when it burned out.

I'm with Budfred. It's unlikely that the RAM is the problem.
Here's another memory tester (that's free):

What was your computer doing that led you to test the memory? Heat could also be affecting the CPU or motherboard (chipset).
It could also be that your motherboard does not like that particular brand of RAM, some boards are very picky about what RAM sticks you feed them.
