Quick question...will Office 2000 Pro work in Windows XP? I'm talking a class and will use Office. I found 2000 Pro for $184. which I might spend, but I'd rather not spend $275. I could use the computer lab at school, but I'd rather do the work in the comfort of home.

As a student, you can currently buy a full copy of Office XP for $129 at a bunch of different big chain stores. Even when not on sale, it is only $149. The only drawback is that it is not upgradeable to the next version of Office and, of course, you CAN'T use it if you are not a student or MS will send the Feds after you.

I'm supposed to have Microsoft Office XP Professional. Do you think I can find that for $149.? Apparently the only difference between standard and Proff. is 'Access'.

Probably not, the $129 version is Standard. Sorry.
