Just about everyday I look for other forums other than Speedguide (http://www.speedguide.net) (my homepage) and rarely find a site that has no flaming or childish spamming. I must say, this forum must have some respectable MODS with a no-nonsence attitude. I love that! http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif
Anyways , I'm not to familiar with this site so please excuse me if I post in the wrong catorgory for the first couple weeks. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
I just wanted to say hello and from what I have read in the forums so far this is a respectable site that I will pass along to other fellow Forum junkies http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif
Take care
DTP

Welcome DTP http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif
We can always use another 'body' to contribute http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif
Feel free to venture into the After Hours forum and share some funnies with us. Hanging out at Speed Guide...you probably got some tips for us folk on dial-ups and cable modems.
Don't forget to check out the hard work IXL has put into the PC Guide (http://www.pcguide.com) http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif I think you'll be amazed at the wealth of material there.
As for the Moderators...IXL & Paleo Pete do an awesome job of keeping things cool without seeming like 'nazis' http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif

Welcome DTP
always glad to have more people join in here!!
This site is my start/homepage. There are some incredible folks that contribute here on the Forums, and the rest of the site has an enormous amount of information on ALL aspects of computers.
Charles (ixl) has done allot of work here (to our benefit).
Our moderator Paleo Pete is a very fair guy but abides with no irresponsible posts or abuse of, to, by, or from anyone. He is also a very knowledgeable fellow and really 'even tempered' (especially for a Texan.. LOL)
additionally we are kinda of a family here and come to rely on each other for help, and with helping new poster or anyone that happens by. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif
we as individual members also abide with no abuse of each other.. here if someone were to (unjustly) attack an established member then the rest of us also would feel under attack.. hehe http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/eek.gif
and I wouldn't want to be the one to p** off many of the good people that participate here... so we also police ourselves....

Well, what can I say?...thanks for the compliments. We have a great group of folks here, very knowledgeable and professional, usually don't have any problems with troublemakers, the few that do show up from time to time don't manage to stick around long...
Glad to have you with us, and thanks again for the compliments.

It's a song from the band DIO with singer Ian Gillan. No pun intended. I tend to favor the evil names. I'm not a devil worshiper or anything just a little different than most folks http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Howdy Hey,
Welcome Disturbing.
Yep, I can't say enough good things about the people on this forum. It's my favorite place on the net. I usually find myself checking in many times each day just to see what's up.
Pete is a great guy and moderator, even if he is bald. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif We have many many great folks here who will try to help, and will keep trying to help until the problem is solved. I wouldn't trade these folks for nothing.
Charles (IXL) just impresses the heck out of me. He is not only extremely knowledgeable, but devotes untold amounts of time sharing that knowledge. Upon becoming a member, it wasn't long before I purchased the disk edition of the PC Guide. Actually, I purchased two, one for me and one for the kid. It's great to have that knowledge at my fingertips and I have used it countless numbers of times to either learn or troubleshoot.
Looking forward to your contributions. We can always use fresh perspectives and ideas.
Cheers,
Big Blue 66
