Somebody (or a customer) has played a joke at work by placing a password in the screen saver. Although rebooting gets you back in, how can I deal with the fact that the password can't be changed with out the original password?
Is there a way to do something in the register. OS is Win.98se.

Hi Will,
THIS (http://www.lostpassword.com/asterisk.htm) little tool might be what you're looking for.
HERE'S (http://www.webattack.com/get/win9pass.shtml) another one.
Hope it helps...:)

I am not sure about this, but I think you can simply uncheck the "Use Password" option on the screen saver controls. If that doesn't work, there is also a way to delete password files. I believe you do a search for PWD files and delete the one that looks likely to be for your screen saver. If you do accidently delete the wrong one, you will simply have to reenter and save it.
