Hi All
Got one for you to work on. I have tried to install Norton Internet Security 2003 on 3 of my systems. In EVERY case, Internet explorer stops working on my broadband connection. Now, Outlook express works fine and live update even works and so does every other internet related program I have but Internet explorer 6 will not find server. I've typed several sites and tried every setting in NIS and IE 6 with no luck. I've been using NIS 2002 for a year and it has worked on all systems. Symantec online support knowledge base has been no help. I also have System works 2003 installed. They don't integrate like the used too either. You have to open System works seprately. This could have something to do with it. Not sure. NIS 2002 and System works 2003 integrate fine.
OH you can also disable NIS 2003 and it still won't work. It has to be uninstalled.
Specs. IE 6 with SR-1 service pack installed. Win 98 and Win 98se. Have not yet tried it on my XP system.
I will uninstall 2003 and put 2002 back on and everything will work fine again but I would really like to know whats going on.
Help if you can.
Craig
Jughead and I really feel like one at the moment.
