winamp question

Hello! I am using WinAmp 2.8 and I was wondering if it automatically cuts off a few seconds of silence when playing an mp3. I always have files that say are listed as 4:28 in WinAmp but the file will stop playing at 4:26 but if I play again right after it might play all the way through. Whats up with that? Any settings in winamp i can change for this or do i have mp3s that are slighty different than the orginal song?

There is indeed a setting to enable/disable silence removal:

Go to "Preferences"
Under "Plug-ins", click on "Output"
Select "DirectSound output..." on the right. Then click on "Configure"
Under the "Other" tab, make sure you uncheck "remove silence...."
