I am using Windows XP with every update installed and nearly every time i use internet explorer, i get an invite to send an error message to microsoft which I do, they say that it is due to a plug in that is causing the problem, I have reinstalled Flash & Shockwave but its still the same.
Anybody got any ideas?
Thanks
Derek

Have you run "dxdiag" at "Start>Run>Open" to check your "DirectX" drivers are up-to-date.

It doesnt say what the error is, just that explorer has encountered an error and will close, then it asks if i would like to report the error, which i do then it closes internet explorer or outlook express depending on which one caused the error

Look in the "Event" viewer see what kind of warnings are listed

Another way of discovering the plugin that is causeing the error message would to downloadHighjack this (http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/hijackthis.zip) and run it.
This will show all the programs that are acting as plugins to IE, and enable you to find the culprit.
