Hi anybody help
just installed XP PRO tried to install easy cd creator 4 standard edition,it came bundled with new cd rw samsung 16-10-32.

When i load it it says it will not work with xp,so i went to there site (now taken over by ROXIO) sorry no update for No 4 edition.
It worked ok in 98 now it seems i have to upgrade to No 5 for £30 to £40
anybody know of a site i can download any software IE NERO or whatever

you won't get Nero for free????

Now easy cd creator 5 will work with xp

If you still have a copy of Win98 and you have enough room on your hard drive, you could do a dual boot with Win98 and install the CD Creator on that. You can then run it from there.

There are free versions of CD burner software available, but the big names are generally only available retail.

Sorry to interject but.... Budfred, for all the advice you've thrown my way, I promise never to call you that! :D :D :D

Had to chime in, it made me belly-laugh out loud.....

And yes 21Up,,, East CD Creator ver 5.0 does work fine with XP..... never doubt Yoda. :)

I do believe 21up is complaining about having to fork over more money just to be able to use his burner with XP. When you buy XP, they should put a warning of 'hidden costs' on the package.

I tried going to the Nero site today, after reading this thread for the first time but it seemed to be down for now. I do believe there is a free trial version to use but I am not aware if it will work with XP.

neros 5.5 works with xp, but cost also work great except for mp3 another added cost of twenty bucks mp3 /pro to do mp3s

just annoys that they can sell these programmes and then not put a patch in for xp.
