Hi !

When I am trying to write a cd with CDRwin ver. 4.0a on windows XP (The CD- Writer is a: HP CD-Writer+9300) I keep getting this error:

"Error: ‘WRITE’ command failed on device 1:1:0
Unrecoverable hardware error (04h 00h 02h 04h 08h 03h)"

I have tried to upgrade with both: "adaptec aspi_471a2" and the newest "Golden Hawk Technology's ASPI driver installation kit"

Can anyone tell me whether this means that my CD-Writer is Broken

Best regards

Thanks!

I have checked it out but I am afraid there weren’t any answers to the error I am experiencing and there doesn’t exits a firmware upgrade for Windows XP either.

Any other suggestions?

The firmware is not for a particular OS it is for the writer.
