The above post details my problems. I am drawn to conclude a faulty cpu, however, I am able to get beeps when I remove memory and try to boot. Does this mean that my cpu is definately OK?

Have you tried resettting Motherboard, I mean clearing CMOS data and then try setting your BIOS again ? There should be a jumper in the MOBO which you can set to clear CMOS.

Yes, I have cleared the CMOS already. I have also checked for a short circuit by operating the mobo on a piece of cardboard. Unfortunately, without results.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like your CPU or CPU socket on the Mobo is bad. Check the Pins on the CPU underside and make sure there is no dirt or dust or any other foreign objects. Also check the socket on the Mobo for any dirt dust etc.(may need a flashlite to see) But, you may be beating a dead horse so to speak.
