I used to run this program without any problems at all. When I reinstalled Windows 98SE I didn't get around to putting it back again.
I've just tried my original version, removed it, then tried the latest
one. But both versions give me a "Error: Couldn't connect to host." message. Zone Alarm is allowing it access, but it still doesn't work.
I can't explain why I had no problem in the past.
Two areas to check....
1. Under Options, check to see that browser integration is enabled.
2. Also check the mirror search, try it both checked and unchecked.

Yes, browser integration is enabled.
Have also tried the mirror options to no effect.
It's a mystery!!

Whoops - I always forget to state it! Internet Explorer 6.

Something else is happening; in I.E.6, if I click on a download as normal, it will start to transfer. But if I right-click on the link
and choose 'Download with Star Downloader' this error message appears.
(See attachment).
Ok, try disabling Star and seeing if you still get the scripting errors when downloading.

Am not having any problems with a 'normal' download, am only getting the error when attempting it with Star.
But it's not an 'essential' program, and I have been living without it
for some time now, so the easiest way would be to remove it.
Some say that these download programs make a diference, and some don't,
what's your opinion?
Anyway it's 1.40am here, and time to 'hit the sack' as you say in the
States.
I am on dial up and need the resumable download function that it offers. Otherwise I have noticed no difference in speed.
It looks like you may have a scripting problem and not a problem with SD.
